Version two of tool roll prototype

Made out of necessity, I designed and mocked-up my first tool roll to hold all of my scissors and other sewing tools. V1 was made out of raw canvas, and although it was kinda of ugly, it was very functional and served me well for over a year until I had time to get around to make a second prototype.

With V2 I made some tweaks to the pocket shapes and I upgraded the fabric. I used a lighter weight waxed denim and some leftover cotton broadcloth for the lining. The waxed canvas turned out to be too lightweight and the lining made the pockets too slick and everything wanted to slide out of the pockets.

Currently I’m working on my third prototype; I’ve gone back to a heavier weight canvas, and I found some great industrial lining that I’m excited to try that has real grip.
